The Fund has raised in excess of £10,000 since it was established in 2023. The following awards have been made:
Ffrindiau Ysgol Bro Caereinion, £2500
To purchase re-usable cups to minimise waste at events and to also enhance the outdoor areas at Ysgol Bro Caereinion.
The Institute in Llanfair Caereinion, £2,000
For refurbishment work including improving the lighting in the main hall and upgrading the kitchen.
Llanfair Caereinion Bowling Club. £1,000
To undertake refurbishment work of the club house, including purchasing new tables that will help improve the facility for its users and the wider community.
New Life Church £1,000
Provide children from some of the most deprived backgrounds with an opportunity to experience an activity holiday, which will provide a variety of experiences as well as increase their confidence, self-esteem, resilience and independence.
Llanfair United Football Club £600
To fund new equipment to support the growth and expansion of the grassroot football club. The equipment will support the 86 young people who are registered with the club, and will be utilised by them in their training and football festivals.
Caffi Cymunedol Llanfair Caereinion £600
To support the marketing and running costs of the newly established community café at The Institute by giving the community a safe place to come together to social, combat rural isolation and enhance wellbeing and volunteering.
Cylch Meithrin Banw £300
To fund a workshop with artist Eleri Mills working with children of Cylch Meithrin Banw to create art work inspired by the landscape of the Banwy valley.
£500 to Cancer Research (Llanfair Caereinion Branch)
£400 to the Llanfair Caereinion Appeal Fund for the Urdd Maldwyn 2024.
